From early childhood, I was completely drawn to this seemingly magical material. Hair was truly my first medium. The cool thing about Hair, is that it encourages the Artist to utilize an entire artistic skillset. As a creative person, Hair was the gateway to freeing my creativity and ultimately, allowed me to begin more confidently exploring other creative mediums, such as photography, painting, installation and music.
Developing my eye over the years supports this artistic process and allows me to see the unique possibilities for each Client. I honor each personal Hair journey and offer a thorough consult with each person, so that communication and comfort level are met with sensitivity and mutual respect.
From behind the chair, to the runways of NYFW, TV and Film, I have enjoyed working in all aspects of the Hair multiverse. From 2005-2023, I was a Co-Owner and founding partner of Alpha Studio in Baltimore, MD, 2 time winner of BALTIMORE’S BEST SALON. Prior to opening Alpha Studio, I was awarded BALTIMORE’S BEST HAIRSTYLIST.
I lived and worked as a Hairstylist in San Francisco and Marin County from 2009-2021 where I continued to hone my advanced razor cutting and Hair painting skills.
At the end of 2021 I relocated back to Baltimore, MD.
In April 2024 I opened Lark Hair Space in Fells Point, where you will find me working with Clients and serving as Creative Director and chief towel folder.
